Castro is the Chiloe's capital; in this city is concentrated the economic power and has the most population density of the island.

The city have a wood cathedral named as human heritage by the UNESCO.

Buses of middle and short distance go out from the terminal in the center of the city and connect all the island.

Dalcahue

This is one of the most beautiful city I have seen in the Chiloe's Archipielag. The city is a typical old and traditional port city.

The main church is a jewel of wood and it was named human heritage by the UNESCO with others churches of the island.

The most of buildings were constructed by wood, painted with many colours that transform the city in a typical place.

For going to the town I used a little bus from Castro, Chiloe's Capital. The bus left me in the city center and I paid a cheap price for 45 minutes of journey. Also you can take shared taxis for the same price.

Potosi

DSC04748

This is the second highest city in the world; it's on 4200mts over the sea. Is advisable to take pills or coca before arrive to avoid evil height otherwise you will feel very sick if you are not wonted to the altitude.

For arrive from Sucre you can take some buses with good frequency in a dirty and rustic terminal far of the city center. Trasntin Dil Rey is the most recommended bus service for that route. Furthermore of the ticket bus price, you need to paid a tax to use the terminal.

Before the bus reaches in the Potosi Terminal you can get down a few blocks near the city center. This is a good idea because if you arrive in terminal you need to take a taxi to the center in other hand you need only walk seven blocks.

When I arrived expected to find a poor city with people sleeping in the street and hungry people as the journalists had written it in chronicles of the decline of the imperial village. On the contrary of that apocalyptic vision I found a beautiful and interesting city with a lot of tourists and students for everywhere, people selling regional products, touristic stores, churches and other colonial buildings.

In the horizon we can see the symbol of the Spanish domains, the hill of Cerro Rico. Here the Spaniards used the local people for work in mines and extraction silver. Thanks to this metal the city was growing per years around the mountain and many people died inside too.

Sucre

DSC04475
Sucre is the capital of Bolivia, also call it like "Ciudad Blanca" or white city due to its white architecture of colonial style. In my opinion, Sucre is one of the most beautiful city of Bolivia.

When you arrive in national flight the first thing that you see is a little airport which will be replaced in three or four year per another new and bigger will allow to receive more national and international air traffic.

The city has with a great variety of churches and convents good preserved and easy access by foot from the city center. Its main square is one of the most elegant and good preserved of Latin America.

DSC04459

Santa Cruz de la Sierra is an important city in which are arrive and departure most of the international planes and you can combine another transports for visit other cities of Bolivia. The main attractive there are the jesuitic misions at 220 kms of distance of the city.

In my opinion Santa Cruz de la Sierra haven't a very interesting architecture because they built modern buildings together with historical buildings without good spaces eachother.

Villazon is a border city limiting with La Quiaca in Argentina. As most of the border cities its principal attractive is it location in another country, to go shopping and the contact with the another culture.

For enter on the same day the customer officers are very compliant and only make you a little control of documents and luggage.

This museum is a little austere and a bit careless but it have some interesting pieces of the original cultures of Bolivia.

The museum is located in Jordán E-199 Street and its official web site is: http://www.museo.umss.edu.bo/
